Heart Fund? The Rochester Cardiopulmonary Group has established a non-profit fund dedicated to improving cardiovascular research, education, and patient care in the Rochester community, in honor of the group's founder, Dr. Robert M. Easley, Jr.
What does the Robert M. Easley, Jr.
M.D. Heart Fund do? The Fund helps sponsor patient education initiatives on how to maintain a healthy heart. The Fund helps bring promising new technology and drug therapy to the community through involvement in clinical cardiovascular research trials.
The Fund assists in educating physicians
and other health care providers in cardiovascular care by supporting
continuing medical education programs such as the annual Cardiopulmonary
Symposium for the Primary Care Physician. The Fund provides financial assistance to health care professionals in their endeavors to increase their educational knowledge base in cardiovascular medicine. The Fund offers grants to individuals or groups for programs designed to improve cardiovascular research, education, or patient care. The Fund accepts tax-deductible charitable contributions from individuals interested in supporting cardiovascular education, research, and patient care in the Rochester community.

Easley, Jr. M.D. Heart Fund Mission Statement To bring advanced cardiovascular care to the Rochester community via participation in clinical trials involving new drugs and devices for the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease. To offer cardiovascular educational resources and material to health professionals and the lay public of Rochester General Hospital and the community. To expand therapeutic options for the treatment of cardiac disease at Rochester General Hospital and in the community. To direct charitable funds raised in the community to programs which facilitate education and research into the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease.
